Comparing peer- and tutor-grading

Carrying out peer assessment/review helps students engage with the material and often is found to enhance their self-reflection and critical thinking abilities. Peer assessment provides opportunities for students to learn from one another by exposing them to other possible solutions and mistakes. This has been shown to foster a deeper understanding of the subject. This project will examine the validity of peer grading in a biostatistics assignment by developing statistical methods to compare peer-assigned grades with tutor-assigned grades.

Good grades in STATS302 and STATS330 would be an advantage.
